We look forward to welcoming you to our Hu Centre, and want to thank you for helping make our dreams to a reality. It has always been our dream to establish a business that helps communicate, and connect friends and guests to the beauty of China.
It is important that you understand that our Hu Centre represents new models of travel in China with a focus on cultural sustainability and language communication. We have chosen Qiandao Lake because of its location from Hangzhou, Yellow Mount and Shanghai. Qiandao Lake, and more specifically the county of Hangzhou in Zhejiang Province has escaped the destruction and pollution that currently shows the tourist experience throughout most of China.
In preparation for your visit, we would like to clearly describe something about Qiandao Lake. Located in northwest Hangzhou,Qiandao Lake(Thousand Islands Lake)is famous for its attractive landscape and mysterious ancient underwater city. The real name of Qiandao Lake is Xin’an River Reservoir. In the late 1950s a huge dam was created so as to build the Hydroelectric Power Station on the submerging everything but the tips of the mountains which have thus become scattered islands. Altogether one thousand and seventy-eight of these former peaks now break through the surface of the lake. The water itself is blue in color and submerges cultural and historical relics which creates a unique and enchanting landscape. The green hiking trails surrounding the lake cover 130 km, linking all the scenic spots scattered around the Qiandao Lake. Due to its celebrated beauty and the first-class quality of the water in the lake, Chun’an has become attractive, scenic and ecological city which offers outstanding living conditions.
The two cities Chun’an and Sui’an, submerged under the water, have been preserved very well and form an entire group of ancient architecture under the water. A major live broadcasting event was dedicated to exploration of the submerged ancient cities. This feature was broadcast by CCTV. The television advertisement for Nongfu Spring Water has for many years touched peoples’ hearts and has become synonymous with good quality water and ecologically responsible living.
Our Hu Centre has incorporated many of the service of an exclusive language institute, we have not sacrificed culture experience and atmosphere to only inject language. The Hu Centre’s goal is to serve as rural heavens for deeper interaction with the Hangzhou community and structured explorations of China’s past.
When you stay at the Hu Centre, you are purchasing more than a language course. Our natural location, with scenic sports areas(including Forest oxygen bar, rafting, tea garden, Qian dao Lake and Qinchuan ancient town) are as much ideal paradise as it is ours. We have purposely placed courses in Qiandao Lake to promote authentic interaction and relaxed learning. The goal is to encourage guests to interact with our people over activities such as calligraphy, Chinese painting, tea, photography and workshops, cooking classes, hiking, tours, folk customs and traditional crafts. Thus, your time with us at the Centre is not simply an academy stay, but rather a passage into an intellectually and visually exploration of traditional China. We’re even a special “United Nations” family. So, are you still wondering where to go during G20? Join us now!
